For a talk that I am giving, I am trying to figure out a simple way to display some c# code in a FlowDocument on a WPF page. I started with a simple method with an if statement or two. The code in the word document was in Courier New, and it was using spaces instead of tabs, and it looked purty. I then viewed it in the XAML preview, and it didnt look any where near the same. Same thing when I exported it to XAML and put it into a WPF app's <FlowDocumentReader>.

It didnt come out too good. <grin>

Do you guys have any suggestions for settings or techniques to get a some simple c# into a word document and then into a <FlowDocument> ? I have built a WPF app to do my presentations with and want to show code in the text that I am using for the talk. I would prefer not to hand code the markup. And I would prefer to use Word to create some of the slides that I need to do.

Any suggestions?

Great stuff - this is just what I have been looking for.

However, if a docx file contains Content Controls if the XAML conversion fails with the error:

Not sure why this is happening, but looking at the XAML being generated the above error is occuring in the Styles, with the Normal style being duplicated as soon as you add a Content Control to the docx file and try to export to XAML.

If you can fix this then I will be a happy man, as the documents I want to use this XAML feature with use Content Controls extensively.

A better place to upload files is to create an issue in the Issue Tracker Tab and attach your file.

Recently I have added a number of features (Tables, VML, Drop Shadows) to the WPF transformation only because the features are direclty supported in WPF and not Silverlight. I am wondering about how you are using this code/tool. Are you using it more for WPF or more for Silverlight?

When, I try to open a XAML document that is generated with Word 2007 XAML Generator form a non English version of MS Word (Dutch) I get the following error.

System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: kan de bron met de naam {Normal} niet vinden. Bronnamen zijn hoofdlettergevoelig

English version of the error:
System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: Can find the source of the name (Normal). Source names are case-sensitive.

I can fix the problem by hand as following:

Open the XAML file in notepad.
Changing all the Normal word in<Paragraph Style="{StaticResource Normal}"> with the original style name from MS Word <Paragraph Style="{StaticResource Standaard}">
Save the document and view the XAML file again in IE en the problem is solved.

It seems that the standard MS Word style Normal is the only one that gifts the problem.

Why?
